Skyjelly Jones, Best Band Ever With Only 13 MySpace Friends [Including Tom] – are issuing a series of one-off digital only tracks exclusively through iTunes as their début release. This video has been created using only a Motorola mobile phone in celebration of the series using a track that the band are going to be giving away as a mpfree. The downloads are being issued through bespoke London indie Seriously Groovy. The embryonic maverick Boston band recently agreed a unique non-rights sharing deal with the label, which marks a softly, softly approach to them getting back to releasing material after a length hiatus. The tracks are slated for release every 2 weeks or so, starting with “8 Planets”, until the full catalogue from the band has been exhausted. The plan is then to… what plan??? Listen, download, link, consume and most of enjoy the mesmeric trance like guitar noodlings of a band that you cannot quantify by their MySpace friend count.
